About the Role
We are flaschenpost, an ambitious and fast-growing company revolutionizing the grocery delivery industry by delivering weekly groceries within 120 minutes. As part of the Oetker-Group since 2020, we are expanding rapidly and need to leverage our growing data to make informed decisions. We are seeking a (Junior) Cloud Data Engineer to support our BI strategy and data architecture development.
Responsibilities
- Take responsibility for smaller sub-projects and independent work packages early on.
- Support the development and enhancement of our data architecture using modern technologies.
- Develop concepts and architectural designs with BI experts and support the implementation of data analytics use cases.
- Work on the introduction and improvement of efficient CI/CD workflows and support their automation.
- Contribute existing experience, regularly exchange ideas with colleagues, and support interns and working students.
- Acquire new tools and methods to continuously optimize our data analytics solutions.
- Independently discuss progress and seek feedback to complete tasks efficiently.
Requirements
- First practical experience with databases and data engineering (e.g., internships, working student roles, semester projects).
- Experience building small data pipelines or performing data transformations.
- First SQL knowledge.
- Interest in big data tools like Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka.
- Curiosity about cloud technologies, ideally with some exposure to Microsoft Azure and its data services.
- Ideally, knowledge of DevOps methods and CI/CD workflows (preferably with tools like Azure DevOps, GitLab CI).
- First programming experience in Python or C#/.NET.
- Willingness to learn new programming languages and frameworks.
- Independent and structured way of working.
- Team and communication skills.
- Proficient German and good English language skills (spoken and written).
