About the Role
ABC Supply, America’s largest wholesale distributor of building products, offers professional driving opportunities for licensed CDL Drivers. This role ensures the safety of each delivery from departure to completion, with no over-the-road travel required. Responsibilities
- Treat customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Conduct a safe work zone during each job site
- Adhere to assigned delivery schedule and follow all job directives precisely
- Document every step of each delivery by taking and uploading photos with our camera phone system
- Complete a thorough load check on your truck before leaving the branch, ensuring all delivery materials are firmly secured and all parts of your truck are in compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations
- Work in cooperation with the Delivery Material Handler to determine where to set the materials and unload them
- Complete and file all logs and required government paperwork in a precise and timely manner
- Provide the customer with an invoice on completion of each delivery and collect the entire due amount on COD deliveries
- Perform warehouse work, including loading and unloading of materials onto or off of trucks or into the warehouse as assigned
Requirements
- Valid CDL – Class A or B
- Ability to lift 75-100 pounds repeatedly
- Pre-employment drug screen and random drug screens are required
- Knuckle boom truck experience is preferred
- Crane certification is required
