About the Role
Supervise construction efforts to ensure projects are built according to design, budget, and schedule. This role involves planning, coordinating, and overseeing onsite functions, ensuring compliance with contract documents, efficient use of resources, and adherence to the project schedule. The Superintendent will also provide technical assistance, support project management with planning and procedures, and coordinate with owner representatives.
Responsibilities
- Supervise construction effort to ensure project is constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule.
- Assume responsibility for planning, coordinating and supervising onsite functions (scheduling, subcontractor coordination, etc.).
- Assume responsibility for compliance of crafts and subcontractors with contract documents, efficient use of materials & equipment, and timely performance of the project schedule.
- Provide technical assistance, i.e., interpretation of drawings, recommending construction methods and equipment, etc., as required.
- Assist project management in developing, project schedule, site logistics plan and implementing project procedures, working documents, standards, etc.
- Support Site Specific Safety Plan.
- Coordinate with on-site Owner employees.
- Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction.
Requirements
- HS or equivalent required.
- 20 years of field supervisory experience to include at least 10 years in a Superintendent role on projects valued at 200 million or above.
- Experience in new building and/or structure construction including piles, concrete, structural steel, etc.
- Knowledge, skills and experience with U.S. construction methods, techniques, and standards.
- Experience with City, State, Federal Government Clients preferred.
- Knowledge of contract management and familiarity with local trade/unions/craft.
