About the Role
Destination Pet is seeking an Animal Care Attendant for NY Dog Spa + Hotel 20th. This role involves hands-on care for pets, ensuring their well-being and comfort while providing a rewarding experience for animal lovers.
Responsibilities
- Keeping pet enclosures and play areas spotless, safe, and sanitized.
- Serving meals and fresh water to pets.
- Monitoring the health and happiness of each pet guest.
- Reporting any unusual observations to management.
- Supervising playtime and activities.
- Assisting with pet grooming, including brushing and bath time.
- Handling laundry and pet belongings.
- Ensuring pets are happy and comfortable.
Requirements
- Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Availability on evenings, weekends, and holidays is required.
- Must be able to be on feet for the duration of the shift.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and climb stairs frequently.
- Prior kennel or animal care experience is a plus.
- Willingness to get hands dirty.
