About the Role
Manage your own docket of defense cases from start to finish, with the independence to make strategic decisions and the client contact to build lasting relationships.
Responsibilities
- Managing a full caseload with a high degree of autonomy
- Regular, direct communication with clients and insurance carriers
- Drafting and arguing motions
- Taking and defending depositions
- Representing clients at mediations and settlement conferences
- Handling appeals
Requirements
- Licensed to practice law in the State of New York
- At least two (2) years of experience defending premises liability cases, automobile bodily injury cases, or both
- Strong writing, research, and oral advocacy skills
- Confidence in the courtroom and comfort working with clients and adjusters
- Ability to manage deadlines and multiple matters independently
