Responsibilities
- Engage with customers as a trusted architectural advisor.
- Lead discovery engagements, translating business requirements into secure, scalable, and cost-effective cloud solutions.
- Define end-to-end solution architectures, evaluating options and documenting key design decisions.
- Support the Sales Team with pre-sales, solution design, and technical input to proposals.
- Provide architectural guidance and assurance throughout delivery.
- Act as a technical authority on cloud architecture, best practices, and internal initiatives.
- Communicate architectural decisions, risks, and trade-offs clearly to stakeholders.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and drive continuous improvement.
- Solve complex challenges with pragmatic architectural decisions.
- Mentor colleagues and develop team capability.
Requirements
- Eligibility for Security Clearance
- Technically excellent and a confident communicator.
- Ability to lead solution discovery and design.
- Ability to translate business requirements into effective cloud architectures.
- Ability to provide architectural guidance throughout delivery.
- Extensive experience designing secure, scalable, and cost-effective AWS solutions.
- Ability to articulate the business value of AWS solutions.
- Proven ability to design end-to-end cloud solutions incorporating legacy workloads, microservices, containers, and integration patterns.
- Strong understanding of cloud technologies, DevOps principles, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment automation.
- Strong understanding of cloud networking, including virtual networks, routing, DNS, gateways, load balancers, and connectivity.
- Understanding of AWS security services, including IAM, WAF, and KMS.
- Understanding of security best practices and compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001 and PCI DSS.
- Experience evaluating Infrastructure as Code approaches using Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK.
- Understanding of scripting and automation technologies such as Python, Ansible, Bash, or PowerShell.
