Responsibilities
- Engage regularly with customers as the technical point of contact.
- Lead technical delivery, defining implementation approaches, prioritizing work, managing risks, and guiding junior colleagues.
- Perform technical discovery, translating business requirements into detailed technical designs and implementation plans.
- Design, build, and implement cloud solutions, working hands-on with engineering teams.
- Act as a technical authority, setting engineering standards and guiding implementation decisions.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, customers, and third parties to resolve technical challenges.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, cloud services, and engineering best practices.
- Solve complex technical challenges through practical problem-solving, innovation, and hands-on engineering.
- Drive continuous improvement through better engineering practices, automation, and technical standards.
Requirements
- Eligibility for Security Clearance.
- Excellent Communication: Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly, influence technical decisions, and produce high-quality technical documentation.
- Technical Problem-Solving: Proven ability to resolve complex technical challenges, assess engineering trade-offs, and make sound decisions in large-scale cloud environments.
- DevOps Expertise: Deep understanding of DevOps principles, platform engineering, and modern software delivery practices, with experience establishing and improving engineering standards.
- Technical Leadership: Proven experience leading technical delivery, setting engineering direction, reviewing designs and implementations, managing technical risks, and mentoring engineers.
- AWS Expertise: Extensive hands-on experience designing, building, and operating complex AWS environments, with a strong understanding of security, scalability, resilience, performance, and cost optimization.
- Technical Architecture: Proven ability to translate architectural designs into detailed technical implementations across complex cloud platforms, legacy workloads, microservices, and containerized environments.
- CI/CD & Deployment Automation: Extensive experience designing, implementing, and improving CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation using tools such as GitHub, GitLab, or AWS developer tooling.
- Networking Knowledge: Expert understanding of cloud networking, including virtual networks, routing, DNS, gateways, load balancers, hybrid connectivity, and network security.
- Security & Compliance: Strong experience implementing security by design, AWS security services (IAM, WAF, KMS), and controls aligned with compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, PCI DSS).
- Infrastructure as Code: Extensive experience designing and implementing Infrastructure as Code solutions using Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK, or equivalent, establishing reusable patterns and best practices.
- Scripting & Automation: Strong practical scripting and automation skills using Python, Ansible, Bash, Groovy, PowerShell, or similar, applying them to solve complex engineering challenges and improve delivery efficiency.
