About the Role
As we evolve into Social Wellness Clubs, we are creating spaces and experiences that support every aspect of our members’ physical, mental, nutritional and social wellbeing. We are looking for a UK Pilates Lead to join our Product Team.
Responsibilities
- Develop and evolve Mat and Reformer Pilates programmes to ensure an exceptional member experience.
- Support club teams and Product Managers in delivering consistent, high-quality Pilates classes.
- Drive participation, occupancy, and member engagement through data, app ratings, and feedback.
- Lead Pilates events, workshops, product launches, and digital initiatives.
- Collaborate with internal teams and the Global Pilates team to introduce innovative ideas and improve the offering.
- Lead instructor recruitment, onboarding, training, and development, building a talented and engaged Pilates community.
- Conduct regular club visits, completing at least five audits and instructor assessments each month.
- Build relationships with industry leaders and stay ahead of trends to strengthen Virgin Active’s position in Pilates.
Requirements
- Level 3 Mat Pilates qualification with a Reformer Pilates specialism, accredited by a recognised UK certification programme.
- At least five years of Pilates teaching experience, particularly in group instruction.
- Proven experience developing successful Pilates programmes and maintaining high coaching standards.
- Strong leadership skills, with experience training, mentoring, and developing instructors.
- A data-driven, commercially minded approach to improving participation, performance, and member experience.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with a passion for innovation and delivering world-class experiences.
- Flexibility to work across our Support Office and clubs at least three days per week.
- UK travel and occasional weekend working as required.
