About the Role
Take on a central role in the operation and further development of our solar projects. You will ensure that our plants run technically perfectly, deliver maximum yields, and meet all regulatory requirements, creating the foundation for GIGA.GREEN to scale further.
Responsibilities
- Ensure technical quality assurance during the commissioning of our PV systems and ensure that only compliant systems go into operation.
- Accompany commissioning in close coordination with EPC partners and grid operators and ensure complete documentation.
- Carry out technical acceptances, identify defects, and manage their follow-up and rectification.
- Continuously monitor the performance and operational status of our plants and ensure high technical availability.
- Analyze performance data, identify deviations early, and initiate appropriate measures for yield optimization.
- Manage the entire disturbance management process – from remote diagnosis to coordination of on-site operations in compliance with SLAs.
- Regularly coordinate with internal and external stakeholders (including EPC, grid operators, direct marketers, service partners) and ensure smooth operation.
- Plan, commission, and control maintenance and service operations as well as additional object-specific measures.
- Actively drive the further development of our operational management processes, tools, and quality standards.
- Evaluate and develop our service partners in a structured manner and ensure their performance.
- Create well-founded technical reports, error analyses, and derive measures for sustainable plant optimization (e.g., repowering potentials).
- Monitor market, technology, and regulatory developments and actively incorporate them into our operational strategy.
- Take on technical responsibility and act as a sparring partner for colleagues and adjacent teams.
Requirements
- Completed training or degree in electrical engineering or a comparable qualification.
- At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in the technical operation, service, or maintenance of PV systems or comparable energy systems.
- Sound knowledge in the operation and monitoring of PV systems as well as in handling common monitoring systems (e.g., Meteocontrol).
- Very good understanding of electrical engineering interrelationships, grid connection concepts, and relevant standards and regulatory requirements.
- Experience in managing and evaluating external service providers and in working with service level agreements.
- Knowledge in remote control, feed-in management, and direct marketing are advantageous.
- Strong analytical skills and a structured, independent, and solution-oriented way of working.
- High sense of responsibility and the ability to drive topics forward independently.
