About the Role
HUB24 is seeking an experienced Data Analyst for a 12-month fixed-term contract to join the Data Strategy & Analytics team. This role involves transforming complex data into actionable insights to support business decision-making and performance improvement. The analyst will collaborate with various departments, utilizing tools like SQL and Python to solve problems and deliver measurable business outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Partner with stakeholders to understand business objectives, challenges and analytical needs.
- Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, opportunities and actionable insights.
- Design and develop reliable, scalable analytics solutions that address real business problems.
- Use SQL and Python to interrogate, analyze and model data.
- Apply statistical and advanced analytical techniques where appropriate to support better decision making.
- Translate analytical findings into clear and commercially meaningful recommendations for stakeholders.
- Support key business initiatives through detailed analysis, insights and data-driven recommendations.
- Identify existing data assets that can support business needs and contribute to the development of new analytical assets where required.
- Work collaboratively across the broader Data Strategy & Analytics function, including Data Development and Data Visualisation teams.
- Help manage and prioritize analytical requests in line with broader strategic objectives.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders and become a trusted partner for data-led decision making.
- Communicate analytical findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Mathematics or a related discipline, with knowledge of statistical and analytical techniques.
- Strong hands-on experience with SQL and Python.
- Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving and critical-thinking capability.
- Experience using data and analytics to solve business problems and deliver measurable outcomes.
- Experience working with and influencing stakeholders across multiple business functions.
- Ability to translate complex analysis into clear, practical and actionable business insights.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to build trusted relationships and work effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
- Experience within financial services and/or data analytics consulting.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
