About the Role
Join Capgemini as a Business Analyst to play a central role in Guidewire implementation projects, leveraging your deep knowledge of Japanese non-life insurance operations. You will act as an expert in both business and systems, connecting clients and development teams to drive digital transformation in the insurance industry. This is a highly rewarding position where you will contribute directly to solving client challenges from requirement definition through to testing on large-scale transformation projects utilizing Guidewire.
Responsibilities
- Define detailed, actionable business requirements for Guidewire product changes, ensuring they are at a level ready for development.
- Create user stories with clear acceptance criteria, ensuring they are specific and executable for developers.
- Define data, system integration, and workflow requirements necessary for feature implementation.
- Document business rules, workflows, configuration requirements, data mappings, type list values, and business scenarios for the development team.
- Lead or support requirement definition sessions with clients and stakeholders.
- Validate completed user stories and UX designs from a business perspective to ensure they meet original business objectives before acceptance.
- Conduct business-perspective User Acceptance Testing (UAT), assisting in the identification and resolution of defects.
- Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to ensure requirements are testable and test cases reflect actual business scenarios.
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications and contribute to client-facing documentation.
- Actively leverage the internal expert network to validate requirements, escalating to Guidewire only when necessary.
- Share insurance business knowledge with team members as needed.
Requirements
- Deep and specialized knowledge of the Japanese non-life insurance industry, sufficient to identify requirement gaps and inconsistencies.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst in IT implementation projects.
- Experience defining business requirements (process maps, use cases, data mappings, etc.) in Agile development projects.
- Japanese and English language proficiency (reading, writing, speaking) enabling communication with Guidewire's global teams.
- Guidewire Product Business Analyst certification (Associate level or higher) is generally required.
- If lacking the required certification, practical experience in Guidewire projects may be acceptable, provided there is a commitment to obtain the certification within one month of assignment (unless otherwise agreed).
- Ability to create business scenarios based on specific Guidewire product behavior, clearly describing product changes.
- Experience as a business or IT representative in a Japanese non-life insurance company or related project.
- Proven track record of independently validating requirements by utilizing the internal expert network.
