About the Role

As Head of Mobility Technologies, you will lead the department alongside a co-lead in a dual leadership model. You will be responsible for internal operations and process management, while the co-lead handles external representation and strategic positioning. You will work closely with your leadership partner and the management board.

Responsibilities

Provide disciplinary leadership, support, and development for assigned team leads, fostering a unified leadership culture within the department.
Assume overall responsibility for internal operational and control processes, planning resources and priorities across teams and assignments.
Jointly manage departmental assignments and budget with the co-lead, including operational budget controlling, resource management, monitoring, and follow-up of assignments, as well as internal reporting and client verification.
Ensure the quality and effectiveness of service delivery to clients, analyze customer feedback, and develop/implement best practices and uniform standards.
Support the achievement of client and NOW GmbH goals with proven and innovative ideas.
Contribute to the department's adherence to NOW GmbH's standards for digital and data-driven work.
Actively participate in shaping the overall strategy of NOW GmbH as a member of the management board, focusing on organizational development, collaboration, and communication processes to enhance quality, effectiveness, and innovation.

Requirements

Completed university degree, preferably in economics, engineering, or administration.
Several years of leadership experience, ideally in a comparable role within a growing, project-driven organization or consultancy.
Sound experience in organizational, team, and departmental development, as well as in designing and optimizing work processes, with a participatory and sustainable approach to change management.
Proven track record in managing complex operational processes and implementing large-scale projects or transformations, preferably across multiple teams.
Experience with digitalization and data-driven work, utilizing data and KPIs for process, resource, and budget management.
Empathetic, sensitive, and clear leadership style, balancing the interests of management, team leads, employees, and clients into viable solutions while maintaining focus on resources, budget, and goal achievement.
High resilience and ability to lead teams calmly and confidently in critical situations.
Proactive, with a strong drive for shaping and developing a department and its people, aligning with and actively implementing NOW's sustainable mobility strategy.
Familiarity with working with public clients and reporting to ministries or authorities.
