About the Role

As Head of E-Commerce, you will be responsible for the P&L and profitable growth of our Shopify stores, focusing on Germany, Italy, France, Spain, Poland, and the UK. Your role will involve sustainably increasing the profitability of our established hair care and hair color business while digitally building our new self-care business area and reaching new customer groups. You will lead a small internal team, manage external partners, and collaborate closely with management and digital marketing.

Responsibilities

P&L, revenue, and budget responsibility for national and international D2C shops
Develop profitable growth strategies for the core business and scalable e-commerce approaches for the new self-care business area
Manage key KPIs (CM, CVR, AOV, CAC, CLV), forecasting, and performance reporting
Increase customer retention, cross-selling, and upselling, and align D2C and Amazon strategies
Strategically and operationally manage international Shopify stores
Data-driven optimization of customer journey, UX, PDPs, and checkout funnels using CRO and A/B testing
Continuously improve shop performance, conversion, and customer value
Ensure operational excellence and smooth system integrations
Provide technical and disciplinary leadership and development for the e-commerce team
Manage external agencies, service providers, and technical partners
Collaborate closely with Digital Marketing, especially on CRM, performance marketing, and customer acquisition
Establish an agile, data-driven, and results-oriented work approach

Requirements

Several years of experience in e-commerce, ideally in a leadership or deputy role within the D2C, beauty, or FMCG sector
Proven expertise in P&L management, budget planning, and profitable management of digital sales channels
Solid Shopify knowledge and experience in CRO, customer retention, and data-driven shop optimization
Proficient in relevant e-commerce KPIs and analytics tools
Experience with international markets, go-to-market strategies, and growth experiments is advantageous
Entrepreneurial thinking, strong analytical skills, and a hands-on mentality
Leadership competence, strong communication skills, and a structured, self-reliant way of working
Experience using modern AI and automation applications
Very good German and English language skills
