About the Role
You'll own critical workstreams, guide technical decisions, and help teams deliver AI, data and agentic solutions that are secure, scalable and production-ready. This role sits on our Engineering pathway, designed for engineers who want to grow their impact through technical excellence.
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver AI-enabled applications, agentic workflows and production-grade data solutions that are reliable, scalable, secure and maintainable.
- Apply AI-first delivery methods to lead the successful delivery of a workstream, making sound technical decisions and driving outcomes from design through deployment and operation.
- Review code and designs, champion engineering standards, and lift the quality of the solutions and teams around you.
- Collaborate with client stakeholders and delivery teams to shape requirements, evaluate options and translate them into practical technical solutions.
- Build in testing, CI/CD, observability, security and responsible AI practices from the start, using AI-first engineering methods to improve quality, consistency and delivery outcomes.
- Support the growth of less experienced engineers through mentoring, pairing, code review and sharing proven engineering patterns, practices and reusable assets.
Requirements
- 2-3 years’ experience in software, data or AI engineering.
- Strong software engineering capability with experience in data-intensive systems
- Strong Python development experience
- Experience building production data models and data flows for operational platforms
- Hands-on experience with AWS services such as DynamoDB, Aurora, Neptune and Glue
- Understanding of data ingestion, downstream consumption, lineage and reference data management
- Exposure to semantic modelling, ontology design or graph-based data structures
- Experience preparing or managing trusted datasets for testing, validation or operational purposes
- Experience working in modern engineering teams with strong automation and quality practices
- Experience working on AI-enabled applications or data models that support AI use cases
- Exposure to agentic AI systems or workflows
- Experience using AI coding assistants such as Claude Code or GitHub Copilot
- Familiarity with spec-driven development
- Familiarity with event-driven systems and cloud-native architectures
