About the Role
We are seeking a Database Engineer with experience in DBA operations, on-premises and cloud database platforms, and database infrastructure upgrades, standardization, and automation.
Responsibilities
- Respond to technical inquiries from customers regarding database operations.
- Coordinate schedules and internal resources as needed for operational tasks.
- Provide interpretation between Japanese and English for engineers.
- Report to customer-side team leaders in Japanese.
- Support communication for engineers who speak only Japanese or English within the customer team.
- Provide internal procedural and language support for database operations in Japanese and English.
Requirements
- Experience in operational tasks as a DBA (Database Administrator).
- Operational knowledge of at least one database such as MSSQL, DB2, Oracle, AWS RDS, or Aurora.
- Experience operating databases on at least one cloud platform such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Ability to explain technical details clearly to non-experts.
- Ability to persistently collaborate and coordinate with various stakeholders.
- Flexibility to work, including nights and holidays.
- Fluent Japanese: Ability to communicate accurately and smoothly in spoken and written complex business challenges.
- Advanced business-level English: Ability to independently conduct meetings, presentations, and negotiations with customers and internal stakeholders.
