About the Role
Pine Park Health brings doctors and nurses to seniors where they live, backed by YC and other prominent investors. The company operates a service business, builds proprietary software to scale house calls, and partners with Medicare/Medicare Advantage to provide cost-effective primary care for seniors.
Responsibilities
- Receive a key business problem with specific test criteria and own it through to completion.
- Shadow and interview doctors, nurses, medical assistants, and patients to understand workflows and identify software solutions.
- Document work, understand struggles and bottlenecks, and propose software-based solutions.
- Design solutions involving operations, new workflows, design, and engineering.
- Collaborate with team members to leverage diverse skill sets.
- Utilize AI tools and manage AI agents to assist with job duties.
- Review code for less experienced team members to ensure quality and scalability.
- Solve complex problems such as building scheduling systems, processing faxes, triaging patient issues via AI agents, automating HCC risk adjustment coding, and migrating billing pipelines.
Requirements
- 8+ years of software engineering experience.
- Deep full-stack fluency with modern web technologies.
- Experience building a personal AI development workflow, including configuring tooling and custom prompts.
- Ability to function as a full owner: scope problems, manage work, write code, instrument outcomes, and close loops.
- Experience as a founding engineer, tech lead, or staff engineer, setting technical direction and making architectural decisions.
- Startup experience with a history of wearing many hats and context-switching between product thinking, infrastructure, and communication.
- Experience in healthcare technology, EHR integrations, or HIPAA-regulated environments.
- Experience with value-based care, Medicare, or clinical workflow automation.
- Experience with systems where correctness is critical, such as finance, healthcare, or infrastructure.
