About the Role
Done Right Hood & Fire Safety is seeking a reliable CDL Driver to keep our crews, tanks, and equipment moving safely across New York City and the greater tri-state area. This role is crucial for ensuring our clients' restaurants and commercial kitchens remain safe and compliant.
Responsibilities
- Operate company commercial vehicles safely and legally across the five boroughs and the tri-state area.
- Transport equipment, tanks, and crews to job sites on time.
- Follow assigned routes and schedules, keeping dispatch updated on progress and delays.
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance or safety issues.
- Represent Done Right professionally and courteously with customers.
- Assist with loading and unloading equipment and support the team to ensure smooth job execution.
Requirements
- A valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
- A clean driving record.
- Experience driving trucks in the five boroughs of New York City.
- A solid understanding of NYC truck routes and commercial vehicle restrictions.
- Availability for both day and night shifts.
- Dependability and punctuality.
- A strong commitment to safety.
- Professional and friendly attitude.
- Good communication skills.
- Comfort using a company mobile app for routes, job status updates, and communication.
- Good customer service skills.
- Dedication to completing jobs thoroughly.
