About the Role
Linkup is building the web search engine for AI agents, focused on crawling, indexing, and serving the live web. We are seeking a top-tier Machine Learning Engineer to collaborate with the CTO and tech team on designing, training, and deploying ranking and retrieval models, incorporating new ranking signals, building evaluation frameworks, optimizing model serving, and translating feedback into improvements.
Responsibilities
- Design, train, and ship ranking and retrieval models for AI agents
- Incorporate new ranking signals beyond pure relevance into the engine
- Build the evaluation framework to measure search quality improvements
- Optimize model serving for latency and GPU cost
- Translate customer and benchmark feedback into ranking improvements with clear metrics
Requirements
- Excitement to help build Google for AI agents and belief in Linkup’s mission
- Strong hands-on experience in information retrieval, ranking, or search in production
- Ability to build rigorous evaluations and verify data accuracy
- Consideration for latency, cost, and reliability alongside model quality
