About the Role
Ashurst Perkins Coie LLP is a leading international law firm seeking a private investment funds associate to join the firm’s Finance, Regulatory & Investment Funds (Global) group in the New York office.
Responsibilities
- Structuring and formation of private equity funds, venture capital funds or hedge funds, including drafting of fund documents
- Negotiation with limited partners on behalf of fund sponsors
- Review of subscription documents
- Representation of private or institutional investors in their investments into private investment funds
- Structuring general partner and management companies
- Working knowledge of the Investment Company Act of 1940 and the Investment Advisers Act of 1940
Requirements
- Solid academic credentials
- 3 to 5 years of experience
- Provide cover letter, resume, law school transcript, and list of representative transactions
