About the Role
We are seeking our first marketer to establish the company's narrative, identify our target audience, and drive engagement within the AI developer community. This hands-on role involves setting marketing strategy and executing all aspects, from initial positioning to content creation, with the goal of building a strong foundation for future marketing efforts.
Responsibilities
- Own positioning and messaging, defining how Lithos is described to AI developers and engineering leaders.
- Translate benchmark results and customer successes into compelling narratives.
- Identify the target audience, their online presence, and key motivators for adopting new technologies.
- Create technical content including blog posts, benchmark analyses, launch announcements, documentation, case studies, and customer videos.
- Enhance the visibility of Lithos and its founders through strategic participation in conferences, podcasts, panels, and communities.
- Plan and execute product launches, developer meetups, and executive dinners in collaboration with partners and investors.
- Develop sales enablement materials such as pitch decks, website copy, competitive positioning, and customer-facing collateral.
- Measure the effectiveness of marketing channels and messages, optimizing for user acquisition and pipeline generation.
Requirements
- 4+ years of product marketing experience for technical products targeting developers or engineering teams, preferably in AI infrastructure, cloud, developer platforms, or data infrastructure.
- Demonstrated technical depth, with the ability to explain concepts like latency, throughput, and cost per token, and to conduct basic benchmarks.
- Experience in an early-stage startup, including building marketing functions from the ground up.
- A proactive approach with a strong point of view and comfort operating independently as the sole marketer.
- Exceptional writing skills, capable of articulating technical concepts with clarity, specificity, and interest.
- Desire to remain hands-on in building marketing initiatives rather than immediately managing a team.
- Experience marketing inference, GPU cloud, model APIs, or agent tooling is a plus.
- Experience launching open-source or developer-first products is a plus.
- An engineering background is a plus.
