About the Role

This is a hands-on analytical role requiring strong technical capabilities, intellectual curiosity, and an understanding of how media investment contributes to business outcomes. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with large, imperfect datasets, identifying performance trends and opportunities, and translating findings into clear, actionable recommendations. Working closely with media planning, investment, and measurement teams, this individual will help strengthen our ability to evaluate performance across channels, campaigns, markets, and audiences, with a focus on driving measurable business results.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, clean, organize, and reconcile data from multiple sources, including media platforms, client performance reports, analytics tools, and third-party data providers.
  • Work with complex datasets to establish consistent definitions, classifications, geographic mappings, and reporting structures, in collaboration with Strategy/Planning, Activation, and the Client.
  • Analyze media investment and performance across channels, campaigns, markets, audiences, and time periods.
  • Connect media performance data with available business outcomes, including leads, appointments, conversions, sales, and revenue.
  • Collaborate with media planning, investment, and measurement teams to address business questions and support performance assessments and optimization decisions.
  • Leverage AI and other analytical tools to accelerate data wrangling and analysis, applying appropriate judgment to validate findings, ensure accuracy, and protect data privacy.
  • Develop repeatable analytical processes that improve efficiency, consistency, and accuracy.
  • Identify meaningful trends, performance drivers, anomalies, and opportunities within media and business data.
  • Investigate changes in performance to understand potential contributing factors, distinguishing between correlation and demonstrated causation.
  • Evaluate differences in performance across markets, channels, and campaigns to help inform media investment and optimization decisions.
  • Translate analytical findings into clear insights, business implications, and recommended actions.
  • Partner with Strategy and Activation teams to identify opportunities to improve investment effectiveness and overall business performance.
  • Proactively surface questions and areas for further investigation rather than relying solely on predefined reporting requirements.
  • Develop and maintain analytical reports, dashboards, and visualizations using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, and Excel.
  • Help establish consistent performance metrics and reporting methodologies across clients and campaigns.
  • Work with internal teams to improve data accessibility, reporting efficiency, and the usability of performance dashboards.
  • Create clear, concise presentations of analytical findings for internal teams and client stakeholders.
  • Support automation of recurring data preparation, analysis, and reporting processes.
  • Help develop automated workflows within dashboards to streamline the review, approval, and implementation of media optimization recommendations and investment shifts.

Requirements

  • We value demonstrable capabilities over specific years of experience. While 4–6 years of relevant experience is ideal, candidates with less experience who demonstrate strong technical expertise, analytical capabilities, and problem-solving skills will also be considered.
  • Strong technical proficiency, analytical capabilities, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work with complex, incomplete, or inconsistent datasets to produce reliable analyses and actionable insights.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including complex formulas, pivot tables, Power Query, and data manipulation.
  • Strong data wrangling skills, including cleaning, transforming, combining, and analyzing large datasets using SQL or comparable tools.
  • Proficiency in developing dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using Power BI, Tableau, or comparable platforms, including experience with data integration, workflow automation, and streamlining reporting and approval processes.
  • Ability to interpret analytical findings, identify business implications, and communicate recommendations clearly to nontechnical audiences.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical curiosity, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Familiarity with media or marketing performance metrics and their relationship to business outcomes is valuable, including experience with paid media platforms such as Google Ads and Meta.
  • Experience at a media agency, marketing agency, or in a performance-focused marketing organization is an advantage, as is exposure to Marketing Mix Modeling, attribution, incrementality testing, or other marketing measurement approaches.
  • Experience working with geographic and market-level data, including Designated Market Area (DMA) analysis, is a plus.
  • Experience using AI-assisted analytical tools and workflows for data preparation, wrangling, automation, and analysis, with appropriate attention to accuracy, validation, and data privacy.
