About the Role
Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is seeking a Production Planner 3 to join their Configuration Management Team. This role involves interpreting engineering documentation, creating manufacturing build documents, and collaborating with various teams to support production builds in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Interpret detailed engineering drawings, manufacturing bills of materials, and related engineering documentation using SAP/MRP/PDM systems.
- Create and update Assembly Instructions (A.I.) and other related manufacturing build documents by referencing technical instructions and graphics.
- Work with manufacturing staff, manufacturing engineering, quality engineering, and test engineering on processes and A.I. maintenance.
- Collaborate across multi-disciplined teams to meet tight deadlines and support manufacturing builds.
- Plan the sequence of fabrication, assembly, installation, and other manufacturing operations for specific product portions to guide production workers.
- Plan detailed operations from blueprints, engineering orders, change notices, and other engineering releases.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent and 4 years of additional education and/or related experience.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and parts lists.
- Experience with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
- Experience with SAP, MRP, and/or PDM.
- US Citizenship is required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret Level Security Clearance.
