About the Role
The Technical Lead, Integrations is a hands-on, customer-facing leader responsible for designing, delivering, and supporting secure, reliable integrations across Microsoft Dynamics 365, SAP, cloud platforms, EDI, Value-Added Networks (VANs) such as GHX, and third-party applications. The role works directly with customers, business teams, trading partners, and vendors to understand needs, recommend practical solutions, and lead delivery from discovery through implementation and support. Success requires initiative, attention to detail, strong problem-solving, sound technical judgement, and clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end design, development, testing, deployment, and support of integrations across Microsoft Dynamics 365, SAP, cloud services, business applications, and external partner systems.
- Build and support APIs, EDI, VAN, middleware, secure file-transfer, and flat-file integrations, including mappings, transformations, monitoring, and documentation.
- Translate business, data, security, and operational requirements into practical technical designs and specifications.
- Recommend solutions that balance security, reliability, scalability, maintainability, cost, and supportability.
- Establish integration standards and reusable patterns, review technical solutions, and ensure compliance with architecture, security, privacy, and operational requirements.
- Lead customer, vendor, and technical discussions; clarify requirements, challenge unnecessary complexity, and communicate recommendations, risks, and dependencies.
- Coordinate vendors, environments, testing, releases, cutover, and production stabilization, and maintain clear technical and support documentation.
- Monitor integration performance, troubleshoot complex issues, complete root-cause analysis, and implement lasting improvements to reliability and supportability.
Requirements
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Seven or more years of progressive experience delivering enterprise integrations, including hands-on design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.
- Experience integrating Microsoft Dynamics 365, SAP, or comparable enterprise platforms with cloud, SaaS, EDI, VAN, flat-file, and third-party solutions.
- Customer-facing experience leading discovery and design discussions, presenting recommendations, managing expectations, communicating risks, and supporting testing, onboarding, cutover, and post-implementation support.
- Experience coordinating trading partners and third-party vendors, defining interface requirements, managing dependencies, and leading technical issues and escalations through resolution.
- Experience leading technical workstreams and solution reviews across internal and external delivery teams.
- Ability to travel to Mohawk Medbuy offices if required.
- Proof of full COVID-19 vaccination is required as a condition of employment.
Skills
- Hands-on expertise designing, building, testing, and supporting integrations using APIs, web services, EDI, VANs, flat files, middleware, and data-integration technologies.
- Strong knowledge of EDI processing, trading-partner onboarding, mapping, acknowledgements, secure file transfer, and VAN services such as GHX.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365, SAP, integration patterns, REST/SOAP services, JSON/XML, security, monitoring, error handling, and source control.
- Detail-oriented problem solver who takes initiative, exercises sound judgement, and drives work and issues to completion.
- Strong customer-facing communicator who builds trust, facilitates discovery and design discussions, listens actively, manages expectations, and explains technical options and risks in clear business language.
- Organized, collaborative, and service-oriented, with the ability to manage competing priorities, coordinate vendors and trading partners, maintain clear documentation, and remain appropriately firm on standards and commitments.
- Experience with Azure Integration Services, Power Platform, Dynamics 365/Business Central integration capabilities, SAP Integration Suite, or comparable middleware and API-management platforms.
- Experience with GHX or a comparable healthcare EDI/VAN platform, including order, shipping, invoicing, and acknowledgement transactions.
- Relevant Microsoft, SAP, cloud, integration, architecture, EDI, or IT service management certification.
