About the Role
Manage capital equipment system projects end-to-end, serving as the customer's primary point of contact and overseeing financial and commercial aspects including scope, budget, schedule, vendors, and documentation. This role requires collaboration across multiple internal teams and with external partners.
Responsibilities
- Manage multiple projects through the full execution cycle against the defined scope of work
- Build and own project budgets and schedules; monitor purchasing and material control; flag variances and risks early
- Review customer commercial terms against company norms and manage deviations to agreement
- Manage subcontractors, fabricators, and vendors to SOW, schedule, budget, and quality standards
- Deliver weekly progress reports to management — status vs. budget and schedule, variances, red flags
- Ensure all company and customer documentation and submittals are delivered on schedule
- Partner with sales pre- and post-sale on scope and pricing
- Travel to customer sites worldwide (up to 20%) for kickoffs, technical reviews, and installations
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering or another technical discipline
- 5+ years of project management experience
- 2+ years in budgeting, cost management, and commercial terms oversight
- 2+ years managing capital equipment projects
- ERP/MRP system experience
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude
- Proven negotiator on commercial terms
- MS Office and MS Project proficiency
- Experience in a QA-controlled design environment (ISO 9000, NQA-1, or similar)
