About the Role
Blue Nile is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Seasonal QC Associate to join our manufacturing team. This role is responsible for ensuring all jewelry products meet quality standards and specifications, playing a critical role in maintaining the excellence of our jewelry manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities
- Perform detailed inspections of in-process jewelry products throughout the manufacturing process to ensure they meet established quality standards and specifications.
- Provide feedback to bench workers on the quality of individual jewelry pieces during manufacturing to promote quality awareness and continuous improvement.
- Identify and record quality-related data of any defects, imperfections, or deviations from quality standards in jewelry items.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments and tools to verify the accuracy of jewelry dimensions, gemstone sizes, and other critical measurements.
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, industry standards, and company quality control policies throughout the jewelry manufacturing process.
Requirements
- Understanding of quality control principles, methodologies, and best practices.
- GED or equivalent high school diploma.
- Previous experience in Quality Control, particularly in a Jewelry Manufacturing company required.
- Familiarity with the jewelry manufacturing process, including materials, gemstones, settings, and finishing techniques, preferred.
- Ability to use a variety of tools and instruments, such as calipers, micrometers, gemstone gauges, and magnification devices, to perform precise measurements and inspections.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to propose improvement processes and strategies.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams within production.
- Strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Computer fluency including Microsoft office products.
