About the Role
Destination Pet is seeking an Animal Care Attendant to join the NY Dog Spa + Hotel team. This role involves providing hands-on care for pets, ensuring their well-being and comfort while creating a positive experience for pet families.
Responsibilities
- Keeping pet enclosures and play areas spotless, safe, and sanitized.
- Serving meals and fresh water to pets.
- Monitoring the health, happiness, and behavior of each pet guest.
- Reporting any unusual observations to management.
- Supervising pet playtime.
- Assisting with pet grooming, including brushing and bath time.
- Handling laundry and pet belongings.
- Ensuring pets have clean and comfortable accommodations.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Availability required on evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be able to be on feet for the duration of the shift.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and climb stairs frequently.
- Prior kennel or animal care experience is a plus.
- Willingness to get hands dirty.
