About the Role
Reality Defender is seeking a Product Manager to transform world-class detection research into deployable and trustworthy products for security, fraud, and identity teams. This role involves owning the roadmap for our API-first detection platform, including APIs, SDKs, web app, and integrations, while collaborating closely with AI Research, Engineering, and go-to-market teams. The position is full-time, based at our NYC headquarters, and reports to the VP of Product.
Responsibilities
- Own the product roadmap for deepfake detection products, prioritizing customer needs, emerging threats, and technical feasibility.
- Translate enterprise and government customer needs into clear requirements and shipped features.
- Partner with AI Research and Red Team to convert model improvements and new threat findings into customer-facing capabilities with defined success metrics.
- Define and track key product metrics (usage, activation, retention, detection performance) to inform future development.
- Support Sales and Solutions Engineering in strategic deals, security reviews, and customer validations, feeding product insights back into the roadmap.
- Partner with Marketing on positioning, launches, and competitive differentiation.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Partnerships on platform integrations with communications, identity, and collaboration platforms.
- Assist in bringing product requirements into compliance and procurement discussions with regulated and public-sector buyers.
Requirements
- 4+ years of product management experience, preferably on a technical B2B product (API, developer platform, security tool).
- Proven track record of shipping ML or AI products with sufficient technical fluency to engage with researchers and engineers on model tradeoffs.
- Experience selling into or building for enterprise buyers, with comfort in customer conversations involving technical and executive stakeholders.
- Strong product judgment, including prioritizing with incomplete information and clearly articulating reasons for decisions.
- Excellent written communication skills for clear specs, roadmaps, and updates.
- Experience in cybersecurity, fraud prevention, identity verification, or trust & safety (nice to have).
- Familiarity with audio, video, or real-time communications technology (telephony, WebRTC, conferencing platforms) (nice to have).
- Experience selling to government or highly regulated customers, or at an early-stage startup (nice to have).
