About the Role
We are seeking a well-rounded Information Security Generalist to be a foundational member of our technology organization. This role involves building our infrastructure and security presence, providing operational support, and guiding the organization. The ideal candidate brings strong experience and opinions, along with the flexibility to build realistic solutions.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and support organization-wide security tooling.
- Operationalize regular TSCM inspections for plant infrastructure, offices, and network systems.
- Run risk assessment processes for hardware and software, recommending and designing remediations.
- Build and maintain run books for operational security processes.
- Build automation and everything-as-code libraries.
- Design and implement scalable solutions to support our security posture and enable incident response.
- Collaborate across the organization to ensure first-class security experiences.
- Drive organization security engagement and education.
- Collaborate to establish security standards and documentation.
Requirements
- 6+ years of broad security experience with increasing scope and complexity.
- Fluency in network infrastructure, protocols, standards, and troubleshooting.
- Understanding of the contemporary APT landscape.
- Proficiency in functioning under a platform-agnostic mandate.
- Willingness to take an ownership role of TSCM operations and a stake in physical security systems.
- Ability to balance security posture with the realities of a fast-moving organization.
- Effective communicator and collaborator in a distributed team environment.
- Comfortable with async communication, vague requirements, and remote-first workflows.
- Flexible with schedule and hours; thrives in a startup environment.
- Experience at an early-stage hard tech or deep tech startup.
- Prior experience on a small team, wearing multiple hats.
- Exposure to high security, high uptime environments.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
- Comfortable with a startup pace, demanding flexibility, self-direction, and a bias toward action.
