About the Role

As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you will bridge business, AI, and engineering. You will dive deep into complex client challenges, transform initial ideas into tangible solutions, and guide them through productive application. This role combines technological depth with entrepreneurial thinking to create sustainable value from innovation.

Responsibilities

Collaborate directly with clients and stakeholders to understand business goals, workflows, and challenges, translating complex requirements into clearly prioritized, measurable solutions.
Independently conduct discovery and solution shaping, define success criteria and assumptions, and decide which ideas to pursue based on solid evidence.
Develop or manage prototypes, proof points, and experiments to visualize the business value and technical feasibility of solutions early on.
Holistically evaluate solutions, covering AI, Generative AI, data and cloud architecture, integration, security, Responsible AI, operational readiness, and costs, and transition validated opportunities into production-ready projects.
Maintain an outcome focus from idea to implementation, orchestrate engineering, architecture, product, delivery, and operations, and translate insights from client projects into reusable assets and best practices.

Requirements

Typically possess 8+ years of relevant professional experience, such as in software or AI engineering, solution architecture, consulting, customer engineering, product engineering, or technology delivery.
Have profound technical expertise in enterprise architecture, engineering, data, integration, and cloud, with practical experience in AI, Generative AI, agentic systems, RAG, automation, and model/tool integration.
Experience in designing complex enterprise solutions from discovery and prototyping through architecture, security, deployment, and production frameworks, connecting technical decisions with measurable business value.
Demonstrate consulting and stakeholder management skills, quickly build trust with technical, business, and senior stakeholders, and communicate complex contexts appropriately, influencing decisions even without formal authority.
Work independently and structured in complex situations, combining technical judgment with commercial thinking.
Possess a degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, Data Science, Business Technology, or a related field, or a comparable combination of education and relevant professional experience.
Negotiation-level German (min. C1) and very good English skills are required for close collaboration with clients and stakeholders, enabling confident communication of complex topics, alignment of decisions, and guiding clients through demanding technology projects.
