About the Role
Saratoga Medical Associates is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to join their team. This role involves patient care, documentation, and assisting providers with various procedures.
Responsibilities
- Document patient information accurately and legibly in patient records.
- Maintain timely patient flow.
- Prepare patients for visits according to office and provider requirements.
- Obtain specimens from patients as directed by the provider.
- Perform accurate and timely order entry into the lab system.
- Conduct clinical office procedures as directed by the provider.
- Assist providers with examinations, diagnostic procedures, and treatments.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Previous medical/clinical experience preferred.
- Medical Assistant Certification preferred.
- Previous phlebotomy experience is preferred.
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative relationships with patients, families, members, physicians/providers, managers, co-workers, and external customers.
- Maintain strictest confidentiality and discretion.
- Knowledge of medical chart reporting/records.
- Experience with Allscripts is a plus.
