About the Role
The Certified Nurse Aide provides direct patient and resident care, including hygiene and daily living activities, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. This role also involves performing support functions for the unit/department as assigned.
Responsibilities
- Provides direct care to patients and Residents.
- Assists with resident hygiene and activities of daily living.
- Performs direct care activities allowed for unlicensed personnel under the NYS Practice Act, regulations, hospital policies, New York State Long Term Care Regulations, and Nursing Services standards.
- Performs support functions for the unit/department as assigned.
Requirements
- High school graduate or GED equivalent must be obtained within 2 years.
- Completion of a NYS approved Long Term Care training program.
- Current NYS certification required.
- Meets requirements of pre-employment screening and physical.
- This is a bargaining union position.
