About the Role
Seeking a warm, affectionate, German-speaking nanny for sole charge of two children (nearly 5 and 2 years old). The role focuses on nurturing, daily nursery duties, and encouraging learning, with responsibilities including school runs, arranging activities, and managing child-related housework. The family seeks a long-term nanny to support the children's development over the next five years.
Responsibilities
- Care for 2 children on a sole charge basis
- Nurture children and encourage their learning
- Take care of all daily nursery related duties
- Get the children ready for the school run
- Arrange daily activities and playdates for the 2yr old
- Perform school pick up in the afternoon
- Manage after school activities
- Take baby to the park and baby groups
- Set up fun, interesting and educational activities both indoors and out
- Engage in play at the baby's level
- Arrange 2 way playdates
- Ensure child related housework is completed (laundry, tidying up after mealtimes and messy play, keeping the children's environments clean and tidy)
- Interact with children only in German
Requirements
- Previous sole care experience of 2 children of different ages
- Outdoorsy, active nanny, with lots of initiative and energy
- Trustworthy and reliable
- Up to date Enhanced DBS (or willingness to get one)
- Recent Paediatric First Aid certificate (within 3 years)
- Right to work in UK
- Living within reasonable commute of London SW12
- Good references for recent and relevant nanny or childcare work showing longevity
- Able to engage in play at floor level for extended periods of time
- Fluent German
- Driver greatly preferred
- Strictly Non-smoking position
- Demonstrate longevity in previous roles (generally 2+ years)
