About the Role
The Accounting/Billing Specialist performs vital functions for the business and customers by focusing on customer accounts and billing in an environment of operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Key contracts and audit customer accounts for accuracy and legitimacy.
- Confer with customers by telephone to determine reasons for overdue payments and review contract terms.
- Document correspondence on customer accounts within the billing system.
- Answer calls to assist internal and external customers with billing, online bill pay support, and invoicing.
- Issue credits and debits.
- Learn and utilize all available billing tools.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Demonstrates attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently.
- Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; gathers and analyzes information skillfully and develops alternative solutions.
- Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- General understanding of accounting practices and principles.
- Good Communication skills.
