About the Role
KENT Nutrition Group is looking for Machine Operators to join their team in Arcade, NY. This role is crucial for keeping production running safely and efficiently while delivering high-quality products. The ideal candidate is dependable, hardworking, and takes pride in their work.
Responsibilities
- Operate equipment to process and manufacture feed products.
- Operate bagger, sewing machine, forklift, and all feed manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently.
- Follow warehouse and loading protocols.
- Ensure quality assurance for ingredient receiving, load-out, and bagging.
- Record and document all feed manufactured during the shift.
- Mix and prepare livestock feeds efficiently, assuring accuracy and high quality.
- Assist management with production scheduling, inventory planning, and control for ingredients and finished products.
- Assist with equipment maintenance and repair.
- Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently.
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Observe and enforce all company policies and procedures.
- Perform general work around the facility and other duties as assigned.
- Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Plant Management.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED.
- 3 to 5 years of manufacturing/factory experience.
- Mechanical aptitude preferred.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Good communication, verbal, written, and math skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate with customers and co-workers.
- Ability to work as a team member.
- Thorough understanding of cGMPs.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements, HACCP Feed & Safety Plan, and FSMA.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 55 lbs. from floor to working height as job requires.
- Ability to operate a forklift.
- Ability to work in dust and adverse weather conditions and temperatures.
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen, physical, and background check.
