About the Role
As a Junior UX Designer, you will shape digital experiences that genuinely help people. In projects, you will collaborate closely with one to two experienced UX designers, strategists, or researchers, taking ownership of individual tasks. Ideas are developed through prototypes, not just slides, as we build to understand.
Responsibilities
- Understand user needs, develop ideas, make them tangible early on, and improve them with real feedback through short, iterative cycles.
- Utilize AI to quickly make ideas tangible by exploring variations, verifying assumptions early, and bringing designs close to the actual product for testing.
- Support interviews and usability tests, translating findings into concrete improvements.
- Participate in workshops and present your results to the team, occasionally to clients.
- Collaborate closely with strategy, creative, technology, and project management.
- Contribute to evolving our working methods, especially where AI opens new possibilities in the design process.
Requirements
- Fluent in German and proficient in English communication.
- Completed a degree in UX or Interaction Design, HCI, Psychology, Media or Communication Science, Computer Science, or a comparable qualification.
- Gained initial UX experience (up to two years), including internships, working student jobs, and study projects.
- Understand the fundamentals of user-centered design and how to progress from a user question to a viable solution.
- Integrate AI into your toolkit, having used it to make ideas visible and testable, with a desire to expand this further.
- Think pragmatically, prioritizing quick, question-answering drafts over perfect, untested concepts.
- Clearly explain your decisions and welcome honest feedback.
- Possess a portfolio showcasing your thought process, not just the final visual outcome.
