About the Role
Merge is seeking an experienced DevOps engineer to join our Foundations Engineering team. This role is key to driving new data and services strategies for infrastructure and AWS decisions, and critical to delivering on re-architecture strategy as the company scales.
Responsibilities
- Produce highly performant architectures with reliability and scalability in mind, handling millions of rows per second across numerous databases, workers, and services.
- Participate in roadmapping, architecture, and planning discussions.
- Produce high-quality, production-ready, maintainable infrastructure as code.
- Lead large projects from initial inception to production.
- Run production systems at scale.
- Participate in on-call rotation and infrastructure maintenance.
Requirements
- 4+ years of full-time DevOps experience.
- Deep experience with AWS/GCP cloud infrastructure, Terraform, and Kubernetes.
- Ability to own the planning and deployment of highly scalable systems.
- Familiarity with some or all of the following technologies: AWS Aurora, Redshift, Kinesis, EC2, EKS, ECS, Redis, Elasticsearch, Prometheus, Grafana, VictoriaMetrics.

- 4+ years of full-time DevOps experience
Salary/Compensations
- $155,000-$185,000
