About the Role
The Food and Beverage Attendant is responsible for consistently delivering results that contribute to the overall success of the hotel by accomplishing performance objectives covering the breakfast and evening social.
Responsibilities
- Provide the highest quality of service in all interactions with guest and clients according to standards.
- Prepare and transport food and beverage items and associated supplies, equipment, and materials to buffet areas.
- Monitor buffet areas for adequate supplies and replenish as necessary.
- Follow preparation methods, times, quality, and presentation standards.
- Welcome and greet guests and respond to requests promptly and professionally.
- Provide guests with coffee and/or newspapers.
- Maintain clean, neat, and well-organized work and buffet areas.
- Adhere to all health, sanitation, and cleanliness standards.
- Comply with all health, safety, sanitation, cleanliness, and alcohol services standards.
- Assist in the set-up and breakdown of the meeting room and serve food and beverage for hotel meetings.
- Clean the lobby area during slower times and at the end of the shift.
- Check the working condition of equipment and report any unsafe or malfunctioning equipment.
- Transfer daily par level of food from freezer to fridge and prep items for the following day.
- Put away all food items when orders arrive, including removing items from cartons and dating them.
- Thoroughly clean the breakfast and evening social area at conclusion.
- Open early to accommodate group departure times if required.
- Stay open later to accommodate guests if required.
- Assist in cleaning public spaces and other departments as time permits.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must be able to lift and carry 30 pounds; push and pull 60 pounds.
- Must be thoroughly familiar with the Associate Handbook and adhere to all work rules, procedures, and policies.
- Must maintain certification in responsible vendor training if alcohol is served.
