About the Role
Vertex is seeking enthusiastic, curious, and dedicated students for a one-year industrial placement within the Medical Affairs team at its International HQ in Paddington, London. This role offers a hands-on opportunity to learn about the biotech/pharmaceutical industry and engage with the medical community.
Responsibilities
- Participate in the development and execution of high-quality medical projects.
- Communicate project status through monthly dashboards and other reporting materials, ensuring accuracy.
- Build and manage collaborative relationships with internal cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
- Support ongoing management of external agencies, ensuring timely delivery and compliance.
- Monitor project budgets and spending for medical education events, advisory boards, and meetings.
- Manage the review and approval of medical materials in Vertex systems.
Requirements
- Currently undertaking studies in a life science or related degree discipline.
- Must be independently motivated and a strong team player.
- Demonstrates problem-solving skills.
- Evidence of ability to meet deadlines.
- Candidates must be studying a university qualification which incorporates an Industrial Placement as a formal, accredited part of their studies.
