About the Role
Innovative Minds operates professional computer-based testing centers and is hiring part-time Testing Center Administrators for its Austin location. This role involves monitoring exam sessions, assisting candidates, and providing digital fingerprinting services.
Responsibilities
- Check candidates in and verify identification
- Prepare testing rooms and computer stations
- Monitor exam sessions and maintain exam security
- Help candidates with basic computer login and setup
- Keep accurate testing records and report any incidents or technical issues
- Handle opening and closing duties
- Verify identification for fingerprinting appointments
- Capture electronic fingerprints using a live-scan system
- Handle applicant personal information with strict confidentiality
Requirements
- Must be 18 or older
- Must be reliable and on time
- Must be comfortable with computers and office technology
- Must have strong attention to detail and good customer-service instincts
- Must be able to work independently and stay attentive in a busy environment
- Must be able to perform frequent standing and walking between the front desk, testing rooms, and workstations
- Must be able to perform prolonged periods of viewing computer monitors
- Must be able to perform repeated use of hands and fingers to operate a live-scan fingerprint scanner
- Must be able to perform occasional reaching, bending, and lifting or handling of testing materials and office supplies, generally up to 20 pounds
- Must be able to communicate clearly verbally with candidates and applicants in a quiet environment
- Must be able to maintain sustained attention and alertness throughout the assigned shift
- Must be able to pass a federal background check
