About the Role
As an Environmental Services Attendant, you will play an important role in supporting a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, residents, visitors, and staff across hospital and resident care facilities. Your work directly supports infection prevention and control practices while helping maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety throughout the organization.
Responsibilities
- Cleaning and disinfecting patient/resident rooms, washrooms, clinical areas, offices, corridors, and common spaces
- Performing daily, discharge, terminal, and outbreak cleaning procedures in accordance with organizational and infection control standards
- Safely handling waste, recycling and cleaning chemicals following WHMIS and safety guidelines
- Restocking supplies and maintaining cleaning equipment and carts in good working order
- Responding to urgent cleaning requests, spills, and service needs in a timely and professional manner
- Supporting a positive patient and resident experience through respectful interactions and strong customer service
- Following health and safety procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Working collaboratively with healthcare teams to support quality patient and resident care
Requirements

- Must be available for Days, Afternoons, Overnights, Weekends and Holiday shifts.
