About the Role
The Scientist is responsible for the execution, development, and validation of a broad array of standard methods supporting analysis of materials, filtration media and integrated filtration, purification or separation devices/systems.
Responsibilities
- Develop, validate, document and execute new, or modify existing standard operating procedure (SOP) for analysis of material, components, or products being developed for integrated filtration, purification and separation devices.
- Document experiments, results, and findings in laboratory notebook and distributed technical reports and identify opportunities to improve analysis/characterization methods.
- Serve as team subject matter expert (SME) and provide analytical expertise to cross-functional teams.
- Engage with lab manager and project requestors to review timelines, discuss schedule conflicts or verify test parameter modifications.
- Oversee preventive maintenance of equipment analysis tools by working with tool vendors.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s, or master’s degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, or material science with a focus on materials analysis or analytical chemistry.
- 3+ years of experience in a professional lab environment.
- Hands-on experience developing methods for and using analytical / characterization tools (e.g. SEM, FTIR, ICP-MS, GC-MS, HPLC, TOC, IC and that other materials characterization tools).
- Industry experience in the microelectronics/semiconductor or energy sectors.
