About the Role
The EM SSA Trading desk seeks a motivated Analyst/Associate to join their team in a trading role. Responsibilities include primary issuance and secondary trading of supranational bonds in EM local currencies, client pitching, and risk hedging. The desk has experienced significant growth and aims to expand into new areas.
Responsibilities
- Risk management of bond trading positions and associated FX, interest rate and basis risk
- Support in managing new primary issuances and associated booking, confirmation, settlement and redemption/maturity processes
- Development of innovative solutions to optimise desk performance and efficiency
- Trade idea generation and communication to sales, clients and other stakeholders
Requirements
- Quantitative background with a strong working knowledge of interest rate swaps, cross currency basis swaps, NDFs and FX
- Understanding of the drivers of macroeconomic products and Emerging Markets
- Desire to learn and develop professionally; takes initiative and ownership of tasks
- Attention to detail, solution-oriented, interest in improving processes and workflows
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, and ability tailor communication across a range of internal stakeholders and clients across regions
