About the Role
Design, build, and maintain internal and member-facing software for analytics, reporting, and procurement tools. Utilize AI-assisted development tools while ensuring code correctness, security, and maintainability. Raise the quality bar for the engineering team.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain production applications, services, and features.
- Use AI-assisted tools to accelerate development and validate all generated code.
- Contribute to system designs and technical plans, documenting decisions clearly.
- Build and maintain unit and integration tests.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.
- Integrate with cloud platforms and enterprise systems.
- Apply security best practices in everyday development.
- Apply secure development practices across the software lifecycle.
- Diagnose and resolve complex production issues and conduct root cause analysis.
- Work with business stakeholders to translate requirements into engineered solutions.
- Participate in code reviews and support engineering standards for quality, testing, and documentation.
Requirements
- Five or more years of professional software engineering experience.
- Strong proficiency in full-stack development, including modern front-end (React with TypeScript) and back-end languages (Python, C#, or Java).
- Solid understanding of software design principles, data structures, algorithms, and database design (SQL and/or NoSQL).
- Software architecture skills or experience contributing to large-scale enterprise application design.
- Strong security awareness in code development, including secure coding practices, authentication/authorization, secrets management, and dependency management.
- Experience implementing authentication and authorization with enterprise identity providers.
- Demonstrated experience writing automated tests and building CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with version control (Git) and collaborative code review workflows.
- Familiarity with Jira and Confluence.
- Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure.
- Hands-on experience using AI coding assistants like Claude Code.
- Experience building or integrating with Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers or other AI assistant tool-use patterns.
- A strong eye for code quality, security, and edge cases.
- Ability to write clear technical documentation and design notes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong follow-through.
