About the Role
In this role, you will play a key part in delivering exceptional customer service, supporting daily banking operations, and building meaningful relationships with our customers. You will assist customers with account inquiries, process transactions, and promote banking services. You will also take the time to understand each customer’s financial needs and provide personalized banking solutions that support their goals. The Community Banker role is designed to support your growth, offering opportunities for continued learning, hands-on experience, and professional development, with potential for career advancement and increased compensation.
Responsibilities
- Assist customers with account inquiries, process transactions, and promote banking services.
- Understand customer financial needs and provide personalized banking solutions.
- Support branch operations and be flexible in assignments and scheduling, including every Saturday.
- Adhere strictly to audit controls and maintain required logs.
- Manage outgoing deposits and third-party remittances.
- Answer and direct telephone calls.
- Maintain accountability for cash drawer and report discrepancies.
- Maintain a full understanding of all bank products and promotions.
- Perform account lookups, activations, closures, overdraft privileges, check orders, and change requests.
- Review customer accounts, including alerts, messages, card activity, relationship, and history.
- Perform daily tasks such as Card@Once check in/out, night drop, and monetary instrument logs.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Customer service experience.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Excellent math and cash handling abilities.
- Prolonged periods of time working on a computer.
- Prolonged periods of time standing.
- Ability to walk up and down stairs.
- Ability to lift up to 10-20 pounds at times.
- Must be able to work every Saturday.
