About the Role
You will support the execution of penetration tests and technical security analyses for IT systems, applications, networks, and cloud environments. You will identify and analyze technical vulnerabilities and potential attack vectors, assessing their security risks. You will use common penetration testing and security tools and continuously develop your knowledge of different attack techniques. You will document identified vulnerabilities comprehensibly and work with experienced colleagues to develop concrete recommendations for remediation and risk reduction. You will prepare technical results for clients in an appropriate manner and support the creation and presentation of results reports. You will collaborate in diverse client projects with our Cyber Security and Technology Consulting teams, gaining insights into various technologies, IT architectures, and industries.
Responsibilities
- Support the execution of penetration tests and technical security analyses for IT systems, applications, networks, and cloud environments.
- Identify and analyze technical vulnerabilities and potential attack vectors, assessing their security risks.
- Utilize common penetration testing and security tools and continuously develop knowledge of different attack techniques.
- Document identified vulnerabilities comprehensibly and develop concrete recommendations for remediation and risk reduction.
- Prepare technical results for clients and support the creation and presentation of results reports.

Requirements
- Completed studies in (Business) Informatics, Cyber Security, or a comparable qualification.
- Initial practical experience in penetration testing, ethical hacking, or IT security analysis.
- Knowledge of current attack techniques and common security standards and frameworks (e.g., OWASP Top 10, MITRE ATT&CK, PTES).
- Experience with penetration testing tools such as Burp Suite, Nmap, Nessus, Metasploit, Kali Linux, Wireshark, or comparable tools.
- Basic knowledge of modern IT architectures, networks, operating systems, and cloud platforms.
- Very good analytical and conceptual skills.
- Enjoy tackling challenges together as a team.
- Very good communication skills in German and English.
