About the Role
Veolia is seeking HGV Class 2 Drivers to join their team, playing a pivotal role in delivering essential services to local communities and making a positive impact. This role is crucial for serving communities, looking after the environment, and contributing to an inclusive culture.
Responsibilities
- Conducting pre-trip and end of shift vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and safety compliance.
- Operating the vehicle safely while adhering to traffic laws and HGV-specific regulations.
- Communicating with Management.
- Reporting any mechanical issues to the workshop.
- Ensuring compliance with drivers' hours regulations and taking mandatory rest breaks.
- Reporting any issues and full compliance of our on-boarding ECHO.
- Maintaining professional working relationship with Management and our clients.
- Following health and safety protocols.
- Keeping the vehicle clean and properly maintained.
Requirements
- Class 2 Driving Licence
- An up-to-date CPC / DIGI card.
- Ability to work confidently within a team environment.
- Must have good communication skills.
- Prior experience working within Waste (Desired)
