About the Role

Bridgewater is seeking talented individuals for Investment Associate roles. Investment Associates are central to developing and delivering alpha through unique insights derived from a fundamental understanding of economies and markets, systematized into investment strategies. This role requires deep curiosity, independent thinking, conceptual and analytical skills, the ability to draw insights from diverse backgrounds, and collaborative tenacity.

Responsibilities

Develop and deliver alpha through unique insights.
Systematize ideas based on a fundamental understanding of economies and markets.
Form macroeconomic and market views.
Enter "positions" in actual markets using the Investor Track Record tool.
Perceive important dynamics for investors related to specific economies and markets.
Synthesize key views.
Translate core logic into data and mathematical expressions for stress-testing.
Build and defend an original concept directly to Bridgewater leaders.
Collaborate with Bridgewater engineers and investors to build agentic workflows, custom tooling, and predictive systems.
Ship a working prototype, from concept to code, on a live market puzzle and demo it.

Requirements

Must be interested in and apply to the Summer 2027 Investment Internship by March 25, 2026, to be considered for the Hackathon Immersion event on April 23-25, 2026.
Eligible to work in the United States for a minimum of 3 years from the candidate’s start date.
Participants for the Hackathon Immersion event must be graduating in 2028.
Must have the necessary documentation to travel to the U.S. (i.e., passport or visa).
