About the Role
Support the smooth functioning of IT/OT component integration to drive business processes. Provide a solid, secure base infrastructure for the software landscape, focusing on high availability, disaster recovery, and secure information, communication, and remote access design. This role offers an exciting task, an international customer base, and a dynamic team.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical management of IT/OT aspects for integration solutions in international projects.
- Accompany projects remotely and on-site through all project life cycle phases, from sales to hypercare.
- Develop and design IT/OT architectures considering high availability, redundancy, and security standards.
- Adapt concepts to customer requirements and find pragmatic solutions for component integration.
- Translate customer requirements into technical implementations.
- Coordinate internal and external stakeholders, acting as the primary technical point of contact.
- Steer and supervise suppliers, ensuring deliverables meet quality, schedule, and cost agreements.
- Present, argue, and adapt solution proposals with international customers' IT departments.
- Monitor and report progress levels to management.
- Create technical documentation for project management, customers, and suppliers, and create work instructions for IT/OT engineers.
Requirements
- University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related ICT training/certifications.
- Proven expertise in engineering medium to large scale IT/OT integration projects in plant engineering (automated intralogistics and/or production systems).
- Strong negotiation skills for developing joint solutions with customers and suppliers.
- Ability to assess advantages and disadvantages of different IT architecture options.
- Experience with physical and virtual server setups, network, and security infrastructure design.
- Strong knowledge of classic and hyperconverged datacenter design principles, ideally complemented with private cloud datacenter designs.
- Experience with secure network design principles.
- Strong on-premises expertise, ideally complemented by Cloud expertise.
- Knowledge of IEC 62443 and ISO 27001, ideally backed by a corresponding certification.
- Several years of experience in requirements analysis for IT/OT systems in automation and/or production environments.
- Proven expertise with SLAs and the design of highly available IT environments (ITIL v4).
- Fluent English (spoken and written); additional language skills are a plus.
- Willingness to travel worldwide for project assignments.
- Excellent analytical skills, strong customer focus, stress resilience, and intercultural competence.
