About the Role
The University of Law Business School seeks two Lecturer/Senior Lecturer specialists in AI & Business Analytics/Data to join their academic team at the Moorgate Campus. This role involves providing tuition across postgraduate and undergraduate courses, adapting to diverse learning styles, and supporting student academic progression. The position is permanent and centrally located.
Responsibilities
- Provide tuition across the University of Law Business School course portfolio, delivering postgraduate and undergraduate BSc courses.
- Teach and assess students across a range of written and presentation skills, providing individual feedback.
- Assist in the preparation of assignments and assessments.
- Participate in course design and review.
- Act as an academic coach to students, discussing their problems, performance, and academic progression.
- Mark in-course assignments and final assessments.
- Support students and deal with queries.
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent in a relevant subject (Lecturer).
- Fellowship of Advance HE (HEA) or equivalent or willingness to work towards (Lecturer).
- Relevant teaching qualification or willingness to work towards PGCHE (Lecturer).
- Sufficient breadth and depth of professional experience in the relevant discipline to develop teaching programmes and learning support.
- Postgraduate qualification or equivalent in a relevant subject (Senior Lecturer).
- Fellowship of the HEA and Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education (PgCHE) as well as extensive relevant experience (Senior Lecturer).
- Teaching in a Higher Education setting or an educational establishment (Senior Lecturer).
- Significant expertise in application and practical delivery of a range of teaching techniques, pastoral care, mentoring colleagues, assessments and marking, team leadership (Senior Lecturer).
- Experience in Harvard Case Method and online simulation is of particular interest.
