About the Role
Als Forward Deployed Engineer arbeitest du direkt am Problem unserer Kunden. Du verstehst ihre Prozesse, entwickelst passende Lösungen und bringst sie eigenständig bis in den Betrieb: vom ersten Workshop über Prototyp und Entwicklung bis zum Livegang. Dabei arbeitest du eng mit Produkt und Design zusammen und denkst nicht nur in Code, sondern auch in Nutzererlebnis und Kundennutzen. AI ist fester Bestandteil unserer gesamten Wertschöpfung: Je nach Aufgabe und Präferenz nutzen wir Tools wie Claude Code, Codex, Devin oder Lovable und probieren laufend Neues aus. So arbeiten wir pragmatisch, schnell und iterativ, lieber früh etwas Funktionierendes zeigen als lange planen.
Responsibilities
- Prioritize effectively and work efficiently to deliver important tasks quickly and with high quality.
- Take ownership of user experience and technical stability beyond individual tickets.
- Improve AI workflows, agent configurations, and data connections, balancing investment with implementation.
- Propose and clearly explain architectural and data model decisions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Identify feasibility issues and technical risks early and address them proactively.
- Drive initiatives forward, communicating early and clearly, especially when facing blockers.
- Actively seek decisions, follow up, and ensure progress is made.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of practical experience in web or mobile development (e.g., TypeScript, React, React Native, Capacitor, Node.js, tRPC, PostgreSQL).
- Experience with containerized deployment and open-source tooling (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines) on platforms like AWS, Azure, or German hosting providers (Hetzner, IONOS, STACKIT) is ideal.
- Fundamental change in work methods using AI tools, with a desire to work with the latest tools.
- Preference for simple solutions and avoidance of over-engineering.
- Flexibility and rapid learning ability across industries, technologies, systems, processes, and stakeholder management.
- Reflective attitude, providing and actively seeking honest feedback for team improvement.
- Clear communication skills in German and English, both within the team and with clients.
- Willingness to travel for occasional on-site client meetings.
